Foundation & Kingdom.

Today, we’ll finish up our overview of the Pattern on the Trestleboard by focusing on statements 9 and 10.

9 – Foundation

In thought and word and deed, I rest my life, from day to day, upon the sure Foundation of Eternal Being.

With these final two statements, we’re “hitting” a bit closer to home, as they may be easier to grasp. The essence of both arise in much of the spiritual/religious talk we hear in the day-to-day.

This particular one brings the word “faith” to mind. Although deemed “simplistic” to some, knowing (4) “everything” is going to be alright springs from deep roots. Once again, it all goes back to the center of our Self … from which flows a trust as pure as a flower’s scent is to a bee. In keeping with this analogy, we are reminded it can never be stored, but re-visited in each moment, day to day.

We are safe to make the journey, free to express our Self fully. We can rest in that knowledge.

10 – Kingdom

The Kingdom of Spirit is embodied in my flesh.

Essentially, this appear to be the ground floor. (There’s more to that thought, but we’ll wait for awhile before going there.) Do you envision yourself as mere flesh hanging on bones? Will your breath one day cease to stir the body, leaving it to just fall to dust … and that’s it? There are no words to convince anyone that this is not the case. But if indeed there is more to all of “this” than seems apparent, you may want to pay closer attention to what’s going on around you in the physical world. A tap on the shoulder. A whisper threading its way through people and circumstance. There is no such word as “coincidence” in the real world …

Hmmmm … so you being here reading this couldn’t be one then … right? I wonder …

So, that’s an introduction to the Pattern on the Trestleboard, but mind you, it is only that … an introduction. As has been mentioned before, true wealth lies beyond the surface, but can only be realized if one desires such. I wish you the highest and best in treading the path it will lead you on. Oh … if, during your explorations you discover something you would like to share, please do so!

Happy Trails!
